A close up, head and shoulders, photograph of a plaster cast of the Discobolus (after Myron) in the collection of the Boston Athenaeum. The statue is an anonymous copy after the antique; it was acquired by the Boston Athenaeum in 1858 through the auspices of the American sculpture William Wetmore Story.
